M$ Office Running on Linux box

Lets face the fact that we're more satisfied works with M$ Office than Openoffice-for example to do our office job such as making proposal, reporting, etc. Yes, maybe this is one of problems where common user feel hard to migrate from windows to linux. Recently I found Crossover office and I think this could overcome the issue. I've tried and it works well on my PC. Just a little step to make M$ Office runs on your linux box.

First of all, you must have the installer, for example Codeweavers CrossOver Offoce Pro x.x.zip. Extract the file and then enter the directory. You can find a script to install the software, for example install-crossover-pro-x.x.x.sh
There are three mode installation you can choose, user mode which for single user only, private multi-user mode and managed multi-user mode. The user mode is the simplest, safest and recommended mode. For private multi-user and managed multi-user mode, you have to log in as root. Follow the rest of installation, I believe its easy ;)
A last here's a screenshot when I created a report with M$ Excel on my Fedora core 3

give an advise pls....

I wonder what should I do with 2Mbps internet connection? I confused of what I have to get from internet. Software, video, song, streaming...what else? For your information, its able to download one disc (about 700MB) less than one hour. Actually I am thinking about online games such as ragnarok, but I am afraid I'll be addicted to and that's not good for me.

I used to find an excitement when I surf for opensource, but my current work field doesnt quite related to it and I dont have many time to 'ngoprek' anymore.

So please feel free to give me suggestion or an advise.

The Da Vinci Code - The Movie

It's so suprising me. I just knew hollywood already made film based on the best seller and controversial novel - the da vinci code, it will be released soon. And more suprising me when I know my favorite actor, Tom Hanks, who will plays as Robert Langdon character. Hmm...this sounds good to me. You can see the trailler here.
The Da Vinci Code is a novel written by Dan Brown. I've finished read it and I think it's a damn good thriller novel. You couldnt put it down when you already start and cant hardly wait to read pages over pages to figure out the mystery and find out how this story will be end, it makes your pulse race fast.
But it was a little bit disappointed when I knew that the story has a connection with Jews history and symbol. I hate Jews.
Anyway, I think the movie won't make me dissapointed, cause I had a bad experience when I got disappointed with The Timeline movie which is also based on my favorite novel, Timeline.

Run and run...dont think about it!!

Sat down under a tree, in the morning with a cup of coffe on the top of the hill, look down to the sea. I thought of myself and what I have done. Suddenly, I feel so restless when I look back to the past, I just realized that I still have not reached yet any great achievements in my life journey. I feel I wasting my time too much.

TIME IS TICKING, INDEED, IT'S TICKING SO FAST!!! Oh my God, I have so many obsession, so many dream to reach but when it will be come true? I'll be twentysix in next June, and I feel ashame. Alexandre the Great concored the half part of the world when he was eighteen. But here I am, I have nothing I can be prouded, I have nothing to stand for and I have nothing to give.

I Know I can't keep looking to the past and regret all of it. Nothing I can do to make the past change. But eventhough I see the future is still dark for me, there is something inside telling me that I can make the future bright as I dream on. I need to run, I have to go away. And I do believe it.

I wish I have someone that I can talk to, as a man, about this my thought.
Thanks to Cat Stevens a.k.a Yusuf Islam, cause there still a song that I can talk to. You can find out the reasons why here

Islamic Philosophy Site

Have you ever think about Islam golden ages? when Andalus become a center of world civilization, especially about the science development and innovation which moslem scientist ever discovered.
It's so ridicilous that most of us more familiar with european scientist such as Isaac Newton than moslem scientist, for example Ibn Sina, whereas they contribution to world science and knowledge are plays a great role. Even the european scientists use it as references when they still bounded in dark ages.
What a coincident, I found this site, which has so many literature about moslem scientists, from their biography until what they have achieved. So nice and I can't wait to explore. Want to join with me to know more?

seperti karang, tenanglah...

Jalani hidup, tenanglah seperti karang
sebab persoalan bagai gelombang, tenanglah sayang
Tak pernah malas persoalan yang datang hantam kita
dan kita tak mungkin untuk menghindar, semuanya sudah suratan
Oh matahari masih setia menyinari rumah kita
tak kan berhenti menghangati hati kita
Sampai tanah ini inginkan kita kembali
Sampai kejenuhan mampu merobek robek hati ini
Sebentar saja aku pergi meninggalkan,
membelah langit punguti bintang untuk kita jadikan hiasan
Tenang, tenanglah sayang, semuanya sudah suratan
Tenang seperti karang, bintang bintang jadikan hiasan
Berlomba kita dengan sang waktu
Jenuhkah kita jawab sang waktu
Bangkitlah kita tunggu sang waktu
Tenanglah kita menjawab waktu

this is one of my favourite song, "lagu satu" by Iwan Fals
